Initial activities:
We spent today focusing on our editing skills again as our crewmate ricardo was absent. Ms. Pistocchi had us observing our adobe premier tutorial and how the software works. It was a refresher learning it all over again, as I took film 1 and used it often.
Adobe premier
Audio:
In adobe we explored the use of .wav (sound files) for our blog. Whether it be sound effects, voice lines, or voice overs, we learned it all. We also discovered adobe's preset sound effects and audio filters. We also learned how the equalizer works for audio.
Filters/ LUTs
I learned how to input lut files/ color grades to amplify the visual effects which media can convey. This, along with overlaying media will greatly help us add much more detail to our gilms.
File Organizing:
We learned how to organize our different media types for film specifics. For example, the thumbnail png, our film clips, and our different audio files.
Filming process
Story boarding:
Everything went according to the story board. We used proper camera techniques like the medium shot and roto scoped into an over the shoulder shot. We're still filming, but everything is going to plan so far.
Filming:
The filming process is really fun, we took turns choosing a camera man and chose the best clips based off how smooth the movement was. We were laughing and having fun the whole time, which really reflects our whole love for the class.
Composition:
Our film plans are to utilize the two thirds shot, over the shoulder, and the wide shot for our chase scene.
Organization:
- Me : Editor, part 1 cameraman, and actor
- Ricardo: Main character/ lead actor
- Preston: Substitute actor
- Christopher: Lead camera man/ substitute actor
